Change to ownership of Boulder Creek Wind Farm

June 26 2026

The Boulder Creek Wind Farm today confirmed that Aula Energy and CS Energy have entered into an agreement for Aula Energy to acquire CS Energy’s 50 per cent interest in the Boulder Creek Wind Farm project.

CS Energy will continue to offtake 100 per cent of the energy generated by the 228 megawatt project.

The agreement reflects the Queensland Energy Roadmap’s focus on attracting private investment in new energy infrastructure, while enabling CS Energy to continue its focus on operating its existing generation portfolio.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has approved the transaction under its notification waiver process.

On completion, the arrangement would represent a change in ownership structure only, with no impact to the project’s scope, footprint or existing approvals.

All existing arrangements for project delivery, community engagement and benefit-sharing will continue under the current model.

Aula Energy has been involved in the Boulder Creek Wind Farm since its early development and, if the transaction completes, will continue to provide continuity for the local community, workforce and project partners.

The Boulder Creek Wind Farm is being constructed in the ranges between Mount Morgan and Westwood, approximately 40 kilometres south-west of Rockhampton.
